| Velida Palmer
has a B.S in Education, but her love of art motivated her to study painting with many nationally known artists.

An arts career highlight was being selected by the US Parks Department as the first artist in residence at the Grand Canyon in 2003.
Velida travels extensively to collect images for her paintings. With subjects as diverse as destinations, she portrays Caribbean market scenes, Irish thatched cottages, domed roofs of the Greek Isles, France's Loire Valley, the Colorado Rockies and surprises found along historic Route 66.
While teaching classes in oil and watercolor, she maintains membership in organizations such as Women Artists of the West as a signature artist, Southwest Watercolor , Tulsa Artists Guild and Tulsa Art Works.
Over the years, she has had several one woman shows and regularly participates in competitions, winning awards both locally and nationally.
Her works can be found in public & private collections and she is represented by the Ft. Smith Art Center, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Work may also be seen at Pierson Gallery on 15th in Tulsa and the Women Artists of the West Website.
